Prolific British multi-instrumentalist William Dorey makes music emphasising traditional means of recording under the Skinshape moniker, referencing influences ranging from Ennio Morricone to The Beatles, and a variety of genres including but not limited to retro funk, soul, reggae, psychedelic rock, African music and folk. Far from carrying an anything goes attitude, Dorey's is an evocative melting pot moulded in an orderly fashion, creating output that keeps categorisation open-ended.
