American-born jazz singer-songwriter Madeleine Peyroux releases her tenth album, Let's Walk. The 10 personal songs, co-written by the versatile Peruvian and John Herington, dexterously weave jazz, folk, and chamber-pop through themes ranging from confession to politics, whimsy to longing. From a creative standpoint, there was a glimmer of hope that she would have the opportunity to focus on co-writing with her longtime collaborator, multi-instrumentalist Jon Herrington. It has been a long time coming, but the wait has been worth it.
